This is an Abstract Encaustic ( Colored Wax ) Painting. I painted it on July 4, 2009. I know this for a fact because I signed and dated it at the bottom on the right side. Encaustic Painting is still my most loved form of artistic expression. I have a cheap polarid photo of a LARGE Encaustic piece that I did back in the Fall of 1969. It was butt ugly, however coma, it was fun to produce. Back than I used the heat from a candle flame as my heat source to melt the crayola crayons drop by drop onto the support. Today, I use a propane torch, a hot iron, or a heated tool to " paint " with. The colors are so bright and never lose their sheen. I must have sold this one, because I can not find it anywhere about.
