Description
This is the Second of Two Encaustic Paintings that I am doing for a Contest in my Encaustic Group on Fine Art America. The Theme of the Contest is the " Ides of March ". The Ides of March was a day on the Roman Calender which we know as March 15th. Ides meant the middle of the month. March is identified with the planet of Mars. Mars was the Roman God of WAR who was identified with the Greek God of Ares. So this Red Encaustic painting with an Abstract Expressionistic figure of a Soldier seems appropriate for the contest. It is painted on a 304mm x 152mm x 9.5mm High End Birch Plywood and is for Sale till sold. Thank You, Carl
