Description
Julius Caesar was forewarn by a soothsayer that He should use Great Caution in the days leading up to the IDES of March. ( 15th of March ) On that Day, Caesar mocked the soothsayer saying " It is the Ides of March " and yet nothing has Happened. In response, the soothsayer commented, " Yes, but the day is not yet over - Beware the IDES of March ". Julius Caesar proceded to go meet with the Roman Senate, but alas, Marcus Brutus and Caius Longinus along with some 60 co-conspirators attacked Caesar before he reached the Theater of Pmopey. Julius Caesar was Stabbed 23 times and was Assassinated. This is an Abstract Expressionistic Encaustic Painting of that Fatal Scene. It was Painted on March 6, 2012 using Highend Birch Plywood as the Support. The Original piece measures 304 mm x 152 mm x 10 mm and is for Sale until Sold. Thank You, Carl
